History
At Ashtree Primary Academy, we have planned an engaging History curriculum to support pupils' understanding of the world around them. Pupils develop a strong understanding of how people's lives have changed over time and how historical events have shaped the world we live in today.
In addition to focusing on key historical knowledge, pupils develop their questioning skills and enhance their vocabulary with subject specific language. By focusing on chronological storytelling and key historical themes, we help pupils gain a deep and lasting understanding about society.
Our History curriculum is enriched via school trips to places such as Verulamium Museum and Celtic Harmony.
